Sydney’s Secret Rooftop Bar

The secret’s out, and it’s on a rooftop.

Just like in true Italian style, all good things have a strong history.

With its name derived from a beautiful sync between The Godfather (iconic Italian inspiration) and The City Tattersalls Club (best known for its history with horse racing), The Horses Head bar was born. Think art-deco, worn in, sleek and private. A secret intimate rooftop location sharing it’s view with the Sydney skyline; this space has lived through over 124 years of bars and dining. Renowned for its exclusive feel, The Horses Head is everyone’s favourite little ‘after-work-drinks’ location.

Located in the heart of the CBD in Pitt Street, enter through the City Tattersalls foyer. Here you set foot into a more modernised space, and may start to think I have lied to you. Well, don’t be fooled. I don’t lie. You need to continue on your journey up through the historic building when you start to notice a difference. From the first step into the elevator, you are automatically taken back in time. Find your way through the narrow staircase and follow the arrows. You will know instantly when you arrive. A scent of expensive beverages, and that feeling of a warm hug will come over you. You have made it.

With indoor and outdoor access, entertainment, bar food menu items and an extensive list of incredibly appetizing cocktails, there’s no place else you would want to be on your weeknight evenings.

Well, I can go on and on, but if there is one suggestion, it’s witnessing it for yourself. You make the final call.  All we can do is make you an offer you can’t refuse. Open every Thursday and Friday evening, we will see you at The Horses head.
