Australia is no stranger to bush fires, we even have an annual season for it, but 2019 saw something different which was a shock to our country.
The date was November 11, 2019. A State of Emergency was declared in Queensland and New South Wales due to bush fires that were spreading like, well, Wildfire!
In the midst of one of our country’s darkest moments, smoke and ash filling the sky and blocking the sunlight, we all came together to help those in need.
Navarra Venues was dedicated to help where we could, we pledged to donate money from every event we hosted and every guest that welcomed into venue centres across Sydney.
We had the absolute honour of being involved in a range of charitable events that were set up to help fund the bushfire appeal and we’re proud of the success of these events.
If you’re a Sydney or Melbourne local, you’ll have heard of the Bearded Bakers and their Phenomenal Dessert, Knafeh which has touched our hearts (and waistlines). Navarra Venues was so proud to be partners with the Bearded Bakers and of course Wedded Wonderland who played a massive part in bringing the TOGETHERLAND event to life which was dedicated to raising funds for the Bushfire appeal through the Red Cross.
On the day, our amazing and exited team set up a Free Fresh Cannoli Station for everyone to enjoy at the event which gave everyone a chance to sample what our chefs can do and everyone loved what was on offer from Navarra Venues and everyone else at the event.
TOGETHERLAND was an amazing initiative to be a part of and we had such a great time with everyone that was involved in doing something so special to help those in need.
Navarra Venues is dedicated to helping where we can and we do this under our charity arm, Navarra Care Foundation which was founded in 2017.
The Navarra Venues family has a rich history in community contributions, and we have been active supporters a wide range of causes including Alzheimer’s Australia which is a cause that is very near and dear to our hearts.
This foundation helps capture the collective passion that we all have to helping those in need.
One of our favourite events that we host is our Annual Christmas in July – La Famiglia which we host in association with St Vincent de Paul where we host a charity dinner for those who are less fortunate.
We’re dedicated to making a change that can inspire and grow into something even more special and we’re looking forward to having the Navarra Care Foundation involved in many more initiatives in the future.
