A SHOW-STOPPING NIGHT OF DINING, STYLING and ENTERTAINMENT
On 26 May, 2021, NAVARRA hosted a show-stopping showcase night of dining, styling and entertainment. The first-class gourmet dining experience had spectacular entertainment and live music throughout the night, with ample opportunities for guests to wander through the many unique spaces of our luxury waterfront venue, Montage – each showcasing an exciting new style in weddings.
8 COURSES OF DECADENCE
Chefs from our five spectacular venues came together to design a mouth-watering 8-course menu to wow our brides and grooms to be. The night included a diverse range of individually served dishes: from the all-time favourite Slow Cooked Beef Short Rib with soy and sweet chilli glaze, to the decadent Black Truffle Mushroom Gnocchi.
Guests were also treated to Live Cooking Food Stations, where chefs prepared the food in front of you like our Grana Padano & Prosciutto Station, two Pasta Stations and ending off with the sinfully sweet Crème Brûlée Station where the quintessential French dessert is torched live in front of guests.
Our new dessert release, the Chocolate Sphere was a hit with our guests. The mysterious sphere sat upon a bed of chocolate dust, orange chocolate ganache and accented by ruby, dried raspberries, enticing guests to crack it open. The encapsulated hazelnut chocolate mousse oozed out onto the plate and – in an instant – covering everything with the rich taste of hazelnut and cocoa.
The night showcased all the culinary excellence guests could expect or add on to their own weddings – from the food displays in the centre of the ballroom, to the interactive food stations, to the plates in front of them.
SPACES DRESSED TO KILL
The rooms of Montage were dressed in awe-inspiring styling exhibits. “This year, every space told a story of a different event in a couple’s life,” said our Head Co-ordinator and Stylist, Connie. “We want to show the versatility of our spaces and let everyone know that weddings are but only one of the milestones you will go through in your life, and we should celebrate every single one!”
The soft daytime party setup of The Marquee was complete with a cookie trolley, and an arch display reminiscent of Aqueduto da Carioca in Rio de Janeiro. Opening out into its own outdoor terrace overlooking the Iron Cove Bay, The Marquee proved it was the event space to get for your next day event, be it a bridal shower or a christening.
In stark contrast, The Gallery was rocking out to a very modern looking, post-industrial style. With its own neon light display, hung upon an iron mesh. The stylists had complemented the look of the space which had exposed-wire art chandeliers and jet black columns. The New York underground club vibe of The Gallery showed guests the creativity and freedom they had with their events and that not all parties had to be pretty in pink.
Upstairs, past the serene ceremony setup on the Deanah’s View balcony was the Pop-Up Styling Studio by Events Couture where there was a display of more than 10 different table setups. This vibrant display by our coordinators and stylists embodied their love and passion for their craft. From the top of the towering floral centrepieces to the 400GSM stock menu cards wrapped in a ribbon neatly placed on each charger plate, the team had outdone themselves this year and will continue to do so for each and every event that passes through our doors.
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?
NAVARRA thanks our live music band of the night, Limited Edition, churning out beautiful renditions of popular love songs – modern hits to the classics – all throughout the night. We also thank Series of Events Australia, for their spectacular Adagio Show. A breathtaking display of dance and acrobatics which had the audience captivated from the first second. The SHOWCASE by NAVARRA also featured The 3 Tenoz opening one of the highlights of the night, the bridal waltz, where couples could have a trial-run of their dance moves on the dance floor before their big day. Fireworks lit up the dance floor as the talented singers crescendoed into the bridge of Ed Sheeran’s Perfect and the couples slow danced into the night.
YOUR WEDDING AND BEYOND
The SHOWCASE by NAVARRA was a success. Guests were treated to our full repertoire of services: styling, food and event organisation. Our biggest thank you to the over 500 guests that experienced the grandeur of NAVARRA’s wedding event of the year, we are humbled by your beautiful support and encouragement.
