Navarra Venues now in the heart of the city of Sydney with Lower Bar CBD
Adding to its impressive range of spaces, Sydney’s prestigious Navarra Venues has its first city offering with Lower Bar CBD. Launching February this year, Navarra Venues will bring its signature service to the heart of the city of Sydney.
The new location is walking distance from iconic Sydney landmarks like Hyde Park, Centrepoint Tower and the Queen Victoria Building. The heritage space has a striking art deco aesthetic, preserved from its time as a CBD horseracing institution. A popular gathering place in its heyday, its hosted the likes of Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and sports legend Dawn Fraser.
The lovingly restored Lower Bar features marble floors and Queensland maple timber-clad columns. While many city bars capture the aesthetics of a bygone era, this location actually has the stories behind it.
Navarra Venues Director Marie Florio sees the partnership as a natural fit. “Having recently celebrated our 45th birthday, Navarra Venues cherishes its rich history in hospitality. Having opened in the 20’s, the Lower Bar has a story of its own we wanted to build upon” said Marie. Commemorating its history, the bar features three impressive lead light glass panels depicting horseracing across three eras (1890s, 1920s and 1980s). Living up to its tagline ‘Est. 1924. Where Tradition Reigns Supreme’.
As one of the Australia’s finest hospitality providers, the arrival of Navarra Venues in the Sydney’s CBD is exciting news for anyone hoping for a premium event experience in the city.
