Our History

From humble beginnings, Navarra Venues has developed into one of Sydney’s most prestigious companies hosting an extensive range of events throughout a 45 year history. It now runs five unique Sydney venues that host a vast array of functions every week of the year.

Navarra Venues through the years

A heritage of successful venues

Operating for over 45 years now, Navarra Venues have “hosted more than 68,000 events, served over 17 million drinks and catered for more than 5.6 million people. This includes prime ministers and celebrities as well as providing the backdrop for popular TV shows such as Australia’s Next Top Model, Beauty and The Geek, The Bachelor and My Kitchen Rules,” says Filippo’s son Giovannino, who is now the Director of Navarra Venues.

The team at Navarra Venues is a true reflection of strong family values and work ethics – a team who are dedicated in providing world-class service and business excellence. “I believe the secret to our success is employing passionate, talented staff who provide unrivalled customer experiences, Italian-inspired menus which use local produce and our five unique venues ranging from the grand Georgian mansion Oatlands House, 110 year old Curzon Hall – Sydney’s only castle, Le Montage, an iconic waterfront oasis, through to our founding venue, Tuscan-inspired Conca D’oro,” adds Giovannino.

Filippo Navarra has been recognised with a multitude of awards including: the Initiative Awards at the 2004 Ethnic Business Awards – Initiative Award; an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in 2013 – Awarded for services to the community; and recognition at the 2016 Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry “Made in Italy 1850-2016” gala dinner, just to name a few.
